Course Description
Photography II
This course in photography serves as an elective in the Glen Ridge High School Industrial Arts Department. It is intended to provide not only the basic manipulative skills necessary to complete the assigned projects, but also with the framework of the curriculum, to make every attempt to emphasize the blend which occurs between technology and aesthetics. It offers students the chance for creative expression and an understanding of industry’s role in a technological society. In addition, Photography II allows students to improve skills and challenge themselves to both analyze and produce on an advanced level.
Goals:
The course in Photography will:
1. Increase the students’ knowledge and skills in the areas of photographic history, terminology, equipment and processing.
2. Continue an understanding of the role which photography plays in our society.
