You will receive a responsibilities grade for the cycle that will count as 33% of your overall grade for the course.  If you succeed in meeting all of your personal responsibilities, you will not only receive a 100 as a responsibilities grade, but you are also much more likely to score well on all assignments for this course.  Be aware that points will be deducted from your responsibilities grade for the following: 

Not Being On Time to Class - 2 point for not being seated and ready to work when the bell rings - 4 points for being late to class (without a pass)	Not Keeping Research Materials Organized - 2 point for not returning your folder to the designated box - 2 points for leaving behind your disk, MLA Guide, notes, etc.
Not Making Effective Use of Class Time - 2 points if observed off-task and issued a warning - 4 points if disruptive and issued a detention	Not Turning Assignments in On Time - 2 points for not turning an assignment in at the start of class - 2 points for each day an assignment is considered late
Not Being Prepared with the Necessary Materials - 2 points for not having the necessary materials to be productive - 4 points for losing your folder or workbook	Not Completing In-Class Activities - 2 points for an in-class activity poorly done or incomplete - 4 points for an in-class activity not completed or made up
Not Saving and Backing Up All Work on the Computer - 2 points for not saving to both hard drive and disk  - 4 points for losing data because it was not properly saved
