MLA Quiz
You will take a quiz to demonstrate that you understand the basic requirements of MLA style. Specifically, you will be asked questions about the font, spacing, headers, how to format different source entries for a Works Cited page and how to use parenthetical references to give credit to the sources used.
To prepare for the quiz, you should do the following:
Be familiar with the formatting for various source types on pages 3-13 of A Guide to MLA Documentation
Read about parenthetical references on pages14 - 19 in A Guide to MLA Documentation
Look at the sample paper found on pages 29 - 35 of A Guide to MLA Documentation
Review the information about MLA Style linked to our our web site
You will be allowed to refer to your A Guide
to MLA Documentation during the quiz so be sure to bring it to class with
you.
