• Brains.org - This site is co-hosted by Kathie Nunley, the featured speaker at our Professional Development day on 10/8/01.  It provides suggested strategies for applying the latest in brain research to the classroom plus many links.

• Character Education - Links to sample character education programs, various approaches to character education, related lesson plans for all levels.
 

• Copyright for Educators - A portal to numerous sites on copyright specifically in the educational environment.

• Education World - Search a database of thousands of education related sites.
• Explorations in Learning & Instruction - This tool is designed to make learning and instructional theory more accessible. The database contains brief summaries of 50 major theories of learning and instruction.

 
• Gateway to Educational Materials - Access to high quality lesson plans, curriculum units and other education resources on the Internet.

• Innovation in Education  - This site sponsored by Intel offers many great resources for utilizing technology in the classroom.  Includes a lesson plan database and  activities which demonstrate how computers and the Internet work.

• Kathy Shrock's Guide for Educators - A categorized list of sites useful for enhancing curriculum and professional growth which is updated daily.

• Layered Curriculum - This site is provided by Kathie Nunley, the featured speaker at our own Professional Development day on 10/8/01. It outlines her theory for creating a student-centered classroom for students with mixed-abilities and includes implementation strategies, lesson plans, a newsletter and the latest on brain research. .

• National Geographic - Educational resources from the publishers of the popular magazine.

• NEA Today Online - The online version of the National Education Association publication.

• New Jersey Department of Education - Links to the core curriculum standards, certification requirements and more

• NY Public Library K-12 Resources - Links to many useful resources for teachers in the NY area, including class trips, job postings and much more.

• Puzzle Choice - Choose from 20 different types of printable and interactive crosswords, as well as word searches, trivia tests and number challenges.

• Puzzle Maker - Make a variety of puzzles (i.e. word search, crossword, etc.) using any vocabulary words you want.

• Questioning Toolkit - Links to explanations of different question types as well as examples of each.

• The Roger's Indicators of Multiple Intelligences - A quick survey to help you pinpoint your dominant intelligences.

• Rubrics - Download rubrics for evaluating web sites, multimedia presentations and more as well as a template you can rubric use to customize your own rubrics for any evaluative needs.
