JOB GOAL: |
To help provide an
instruction and learning environment which fosters the ability of each pupil
to master reading skills appropriate to age, grade level and individual
potential. |

PERFORMANCE |
|

demonstration
lessons with pre- and post- discussion/analysis
10. Interprets pupil needs and literacy progress
to classroom teachers and parents.
11. Evaluates the district's literacy program and
makes recommendations for improvements as appropriate.
12. Recommends adoption and use of varied literacy
instruction materials.
13. Plans and conducts in-service professional
development workshops pertinent to methods and materials appropriate to various
levels of literacy instruction.
14. Consults with members of building-based
intervention and referral service (I&RS) teams as requested.
15. Consults with members of the child study team
at individual case conferences as requested.
16. Interprets literacy test results to the
administration, teaching staff and the community.
17. Participates in school-level planning, faculty
meetings, committees and other school system groups.
18. Maintains professional competence and
continuous improvement through in-service education and other professional
growth activities.
19. Upholds and enforces school rules,
administrative regulations and board policy.
20. Performs other duties within the scope of
his/her employment and certification as may be assigned.

Performance of this
job will be evaluated annually in accordance with state law and the
provisions of the board's policy on evaluation and certified staff. |
