Novel: The Five People You Meet in Heaven, by Mitch Albom

Directions: The novel that you will be reading this summer follows some of

the themes we will be discussing this school year.

Be an active reader: keep a reading journal-record any thoughts,

questions, connections you can make especially from

readings from this past school year.

Write in your book! Highlight, underline, take notes, ask questions

in margins. Remember, the more you can connect with the

reading the more you will get out of it.

In September you will be tested on the reading; we will participate in various activities related to the reading.
