Glen
Dear Eleventh Grade CP Students:
The English Department of Glen High School believes that summer reading is the best way for a student to continue the learning process and make transitions to new classes. Therefore, we are requiring you to read the post-modern novel THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHTTIME by Mark Haddon over the course of the summer in preparation for your eleventh grade English course- A Survey of British Literature . It may benefit you to research general information on autism before you begin reading.
Additionally, we are attaching a list of discussion questions you should prepare for the first day of school in September. These answers should be word-processed. They will be collected for a grade.
A list of suggested readings for your enrichment is on the back of this letter.
Have a restful, healthy and productive summer. READ ON!
Sincerely,
B. Hellstern
