  • Hello.

My name is Ms. Arlene Non. I have been a member of the Glen Ridge High School Child Study team for Grades 7-12 for the past 8 years and hold the role of Learning Disability Teacher Consultant.

As the LDTC, I collaborate with teachers, parents, administration, other team members, and students. I assist in the identification and diagnosis of learning disabilities and develop effective educational services and programs that are outlined in the IEP. I am responsible for completing educational assessments for a child suspected of having a learning disability.

I received a Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Special Education. I completed my Master's Degree in Special Education and later went on and completed a Master's Degree in Urban Education and Educational Leadership. I hold Orton Gillingham Certification, Learning Disability Teacher Consultant Certification, Supervisor Certification, and a Principal Certificate.

Throughout my 24 years in education, I taught elementary K-2 self-contained, resource room for Language Arts and Math, as well as an inclusion teacher for Math, Science, and Social Studies.
