Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Gregory Pavliv
For the past 15 years I have dedicated my life’s work to the advancement of K-12 music education working as a teacher and consultant to over 30 school districts in 14 U.S. states.
After completing my Masters in Education I began my work advocating for music education on the national stage. Elected as a New Jersey State K-12 Delegate to the National Representative Assembly, I authored a bill protecting performing arts curriculum in public schools. Currently I am working on my doctoral dissertation on the impacts of music education on the brain.
Shortly thereafter I was approached to leave the classroom and become National Director of Training of the largest music education non-profit in the United States, Little Kids Rock, where I reached over 200,000 school children during my tenure.
I then created Music Teaching Guru, an organization dedicated to helping public school music teachers by providing them with tools, resources and technology. Two examples of my district-wide initiatives have been showcased nationally: the Cirque du Soleil Correspondence Project of Morris Plains (through Walt Disney World) and the Elton John Red Piano Benefit Concert for the Asbury Park School District. A third cross-curricular project was then featured in a documentary highlighting my Student-Written Musical Curriculum.
Much of my work, studies and research have been published. I’m also a two-time best-selling co-author, a recording artist with three albums and a series of works as a songwriter and composer.
