In-School Program: Grades K-6

In-School Program Grades K-6

Students must meet the requirements for entry into the program, and parents must provide permission prior to a student's beginning the program.

The Title 1 Math in-school program is offered several times within a 6-day cycle for 40 minutes per session. The purpose of the program is to increase students’ overall math skills and focus on areas of weakness identified by MAP testing. This program works independently from other classes, so the methods and materials will be independent of the general education, resource room, and basic skills classes. Students will be engaged while working in a small group setting, using various multi-sensory materials for instruction while practicing their math skills. As this is a support class to reinforce academic weaknesses in math, homework is not provided and all assignments are completed in the class.
